Indian Coffee House, M.I. Road, Jaipur. Ok Let me start by telling you how old this Outlet of "Indian Coffee House" is. I had asked lot of People and no one was Sure about when it was started. Some said it was Here Before the Christ, Some said It is so old that it has even Served the Cave Man, Some said that it is so old that it has even seen the Big Bang. Anyhow no one knows how old it is but it is Very Very Very Old. . . Indian Coffee House is situated at M.I. Road. Near Shop Number 370, It is inside a small alley kind of thing so its bit of hard to locate it.
I started Coming to Indian Coffee House when I was very young my Mom used to bring me here, My favourite at that time was Cold Coffee and Plain Dosa and still it is my fav here. As it was the only economical Cafe at that time in the Jaipur City, This cafe was always filled with Gentry of Intellectuals like Writers, Readers, Poets, Painters, Actors, etc. . .. This thing always fantasized me as a child looking at all these Intellectuals listening to their discussions for hours and I thought even If I also start Coming here regularly I will also become an Intellectual one day :p . As time went by there were many other Cafes and Restaurants opened in Jaipur, but I still use to come here Occasionally. As you enter the Indian Coffee House you will feel like you have entered in 1980’s it has the same decades old Furniture, Posters, Uniform of Waiters, Cutlery, and Feel. It’s like Time has stopped here. But with the time Gentry has changed but you can still spot few artist at sometimes.
This cafe is divided into two sections Smoking and Non Smoking. It is still the most Economical Cafe in Jaipur. You can still sit here for hours over a Coffee enjoy some South Indian and discuss about To be or Not To be. . .
|
Sorry for the Pic Quality, It was taken from my Mobile. |
This is Main Cafe Sitting Area its Non Smoking Zone, behind this hall is a Section where Smoking is allowed there are same old widows at that section.

DeleteYes.. indeed a great place. But my friends, please take a note of the timings of this place, they are very strict about that. Once i was there along with my husband and we ordered dosa and other stuff but later I realize that I need one more dosa, and it was 5 minutes past 9 pm, so they simply refused. hahaha.. so please take care :))
