Right to Smoke.

Question is Smoking at a No Smoking area or No Smoking sign at Smoking area?

This small area of café has been reserved as a Smoking Zone since 8th April 1993 the day when Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur was inaugurated. But few months back the administration decided and installed this sign of No Smoking here. Now this sign has became a reason of many verbal clashes between smokers and non smokers, which is very disturbing for artists like us who just come here to relax and have a cup of coffee on an interesting discussion.

I don’t smoke nor I promote smoking but I understand that even those who smoke have some rights. The café area of Jawahar Kala Kendra is huge and till now before the sign was installed the smokers and non smokers were used to live in harmony in their own spaces. All I want is that although administration had taken the old smoking zone but please allocate the new smoking zone to smokers in the café area. So that again smokers and non smokers can share the café in harmony, as the smokers are also citizens of India with few basic rights.
