Even the word Brilliant is not Justifying the Stunning performance of Moscow Musical Theater 'Reverse' which I saw today Evening at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Jaipur.
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and
Department of State Support of the Art and Folk Creativity of the Ministry of
Culture of the Russian Federation signed a Protocol to organize the Cultural
Days / Festivals in each other’s country.
In accordance with this Protocol, IRCC had hosted the visit of Moscow Music
Theatre “Reverse” under the “Days of Russian Culture in India” today at Jaipur.
The unusual experimental production has been created by
young Russian directors Andrey Koltsov and Irina Drozhzhina, with the
participation of Debra Brown, famous Canadian choreographer and the Emmy Award
winner. The audience was treated with a vibrant and dynamic theatrical
performance with tricks, flying pylons and elements of circus choreography.
This show blurred the boundaries between the dramatic and plastic theater and thrilled
the viewers to core.
The experimental performance “Reverse” by the Moscow Music
Theater is about the external and internal struggle of a human. It tells about
its lowest and most beautiful manifestations, which appear only in extreme
situations. It tells about conflicting qualities of human nature. It tells
about the desire to transform and return to his former self. And, eventually,
it tells about the main choice that every person has to make at least once in a
lifetime.
Below are few glimpses from the iconic performance.
