Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi, Jaipur. One of the biggest Vegetable Market of Jaipur.
Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi, Jaipur. is one of the biggest wholesale and retail fruit and vegetable market of Jaipur. Vegetables and Fruits at Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi are of good quality at best price. Little bargain and you may get a better deal. Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi was developed nearly 35 years ago, now much cleaner than earlier days. But clean Hygenic public services are not there as far as I know and you can't pay digitally so keep your cash loaded. Parking can be a problem and market is bit congested. Still it is the best place to buy fresh vegetables and fruits of many varieties at reasonable price. Early Morning visit is recommended for freshest vegetables and fruits.
Yesterday was our vegetable buying day, since this Corona Virus Chaos I had to do this Job with my Wife once a week. Before Lock Down my Father used to do this, He loves to buy Vegetables and Fruits it is his Favorite Hobby or should I say Passion. For precaution we asked him to stay home and relax since the day Lock Down in India was announced but today all chains were broken He said that he will go and go. First we tried to stop him then later we surrendered under his persistence but made him wear Mask, Gloves and all the Precautions possible.
Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi, Jaipur. is close to our home and many of these Vegetable vendors here know my Father very well, as he entered many of the vendors greeted him. As my father and my wife were there to buy stuff I got free time and chance to take few mobile shots. Below you will see few Pictures of Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi, Jaipur. We will start from my Father’s Favorite Vendor and now Friend “Chanda Lal Jadam” we call him ChandaJi he comes and brings his Vegetables from Chomu a small town near Jaipur. Chomu is famous for the Good Taste Fruits and Vegetables which are grown there in Sweet and Fresh Water. The Fruits and Vegetables which he brings to sell are really good and you can feel it by looking at them only. So if you are at Lal Kothi Sabji Mandi, Jaipur and looking for Right Vendor try his shop.

DeleteManav, your story reminds me of when we go to Perth.
ReplyDeleteAt the shopping centre there is the big Woolies, the "fresh food people", but we prefer the little grocery store, a Pakistani family.
The kids were smaller than me,now they study, we always get a welcome-pressie as in ice-cold fruit, and one when we leave. We always chat and get the best service.
Mango not good yet, they let us know and offer something else.
Great your Father is so active, too!

DeleteOh it would be fun to shop there. So colorful and the produce looks healthful and delicious. ... we love our Farmers Markets (and agree, it is important to find the best vendors and return there each week!). I am glad your father was able to go shopping and indulge his passion ... I see in your pictures that most people are wearing masks; I hope that means he will be safe. ... The same with us here, it is hard to balance being careful and staying safe with the real need to get out and see something different from your own walls.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sallie for the comment and yes there is lot of confusion in everyone's mind about this Corona Virus but hopefully everything will settle down soon.
