On the morning of Janmashtami, the statue of Lord Krishna is bathed and dressed in new clothes.

A grand procession is then held next day on the occasion of "Nand Utsav" through the streets of Jaipur, with the statue of Lord Krishna being carried on a golden palanquin.

The procession culminates at the Govind Devji Temple, where the statue of Lord Krishna is placed in a cradle. Devotees from all over the world gather at the temple to offer prayers and to seek blessings from Lord Krishna.
